In the Japanese language “Ashi” translates to foot and “Atsu” into pressure. By utilizing my feet and body weight I am able to work with gravity instead of against it. This in turn allows me to deliver a uniquely effective therapeutic massage with longer lasting results.

I have received ashiatsu training from a variety of sources including:

Deepfeet

Southwest Ashiatsu

Barefoot Masters

Benefits of Ashiatsu

  • Provides more consistent, fluid, satisfactory & desired pressure

  • More comfortable to receive than bony compression from hands, fists, forearms, and elbows

  • Elongates the spine; creates space in the vertebral column

  • Deepens relaxation by stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system

  • Decreases pressure/pain in the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar area

  • Relieves sciatic pain
